Learning Modality

The program will adopt a blended learning approach that combines both online synchronous and asynchronous sessions, and face-to-face program. This would offer participants flexibility and customization maximizing the benefits of both in-person interaction and access to online digital tools for learning.

Online Program

The training will be delivered self-paced through the DA-ATI Learning Management System. Participants will have five weeks to complete the RR2P online training modules at their convenience.

During this period, the participants will be closely monitored to ensure timely and successful access to the online modules through the learning management system. Group Huddle Sessions, primarily aimed to organize each group to meet, discuss, and finalize their group presentations in preparation for the panel presentation will be included.

Attendance at the group huddle sessions is not required as the participants may opt to use other platforms that they deem more accessible for all the group members.

Lastly, online Panel Presentations will be done weekly to give the participants a chance to demonstrate their learnings gained from the self-paced learning by presenting their group output to the panel of cluster resource persons.

Face-to-face Culminating Program

Participants who have successfully completed the program will have a chance to come to IRRI Headquarters for the one-week culminating program.

This session is essential to provide the participants with a holistic and hands-on learning application. The face-to-face session aims to support the learning process of the participants and provide them opportunities to apply what they have learned from the online sessions under the guidance of course resource persons. During this program, participants engage in real-time case problem analysis and practical demonstrations including field practices of their learnings from the online course. Hence, only participants who have successfully completed the online course can qualify and be invited to participate in the face-to-face session.
